GroundWiz is a procedural terrain map for 3ds Max and Autodesk VIZ. It uses layers combined with fractal algorithms to create natural looking terrain maps. Infinite detail is possible due to a procedural nature of layers. Images and other 3ds max maps can also be used to add color and bumpiness to each layer.
