In my not so humble opinion, this is the best tool you have, to decode the human figure. Never mind it is written in German. Some people migh be put off by a few of the crude line drawings but I think they are accurately depicted and full of stylish charm. Just by looking at the simplified forms depicting the mechanics of the body parts you will learn how things are put together in relation to each other. George Bridgman's anatomy books are essential but Gottfried Bammes' is necessary because it makes anatomy fun and easy to learn, he rocks my drawing world for reals.
